Fortaleza Seguros was established in 2015, in partnership with Banco Millennium Atlântico, one of the most prestigious banks in Angola. A new insurance company was born, and it has to be fully operating in six months: i2S faced a huge challenge.
In this context of full implementation of the insurer’s IT system, i2S provided the full suite of products (i2S Life, i2S Non-life, i2S Analytics, i2S Channels and i2S Configurator), as well as implementation services. This project included the integration with the bank channel, which would be the insurer’s main sales engine.
After six months, and using the i2S suite, the company was 100% operational, completely integrated with the bank channel. One year after the company’s “go-live”, it had already launched 20 non-life products and four life products, and 95% of the company’s portfolio was sold using the bank channel (in more than 200 branches). This channel allows marketing an average of 450 policies per day. Moreover, after this first year, the company’s cost to manage and maintain this system was lower than €6 per policy, with an IT department of only two elements.
A big challenge met by i2S, which allowed the company to achieve high levels of performance and competitiveness after just a few years of activity.
